Marilyn Monroe Inspired Look

"Beauty and femininity are ageless and can't be contrived, and glamour, although the manufacturers won't like this, cannot be manufactured." Marilyn Monroe.

Hey everyone! Last week I didn't have any posts mainly because I was away for a few days, so I thought I would make up for that by doing a post one of my favorite looks from the past. Marilyn Monroe.
Marilyn had a timeless, classic and glamorous style that is still imitated in today's fashion and makeup. I don't think her style will ever be forgotten or left behind.
Her usually makeup consisted of quite glowing skin, winged liner and big bold red lips. To create the illusion of her massive, iconic lips she used several products built up on top of each other and made her cupid's bow very rounded and prominent. Marilyn also had a very unusual eyebrow shape where the arch of her brow was thicker than the inside and came up to a sharp point.
Her hair was cropped quite short and curled, so I created a faux bob by rolling my hair underneath it's self and pinning it in place.
Obviously I bare no resemblance to Marilyn and this look is simply just a recreation of her style. I hope you love it as much as I do and if you know anything interesting about Marilyn's makeup, hair or clothes it'd be lovely to know!

Products I used: Sleek skin revive foundation (02 Shell), MUA pro-base concealer, Sleek contour kit (Light), Pixi blush and powder, Sleek au natural palette (nougat and cappuccino), Maybelline master precise liquid liner, Benefit They're Real mascara, Sleek brow kit (dark), Rimmel lip liner(061 wine), Fearne lip crayon (210), Miss, Sporty perfect color lipstick (055 dream).

Thankyou for reading! Any suggestions for looks I should try or different posts to do would be really appreciated! <3

Lana Del Rey Inspired Look

Hey everyone! I haven't done a post in a while and I haven't really known what to write about.
But the other day I finally got round to watching The Great Gatsby which was absolutely amazing and it features one of my favorite songs- Young and Beautiful by Lana Del Rey. So after watching the music video for Young and Beautiful, I decided to recreate a look inspired by Lana's makeup in the video.
I think this makeup is really classic and I really enjoyed recreating it! I hope you like it as well.

Products I used: Bourjois healthy mix foundation (vanilla), Benefit boi-ing boi-ing concealer, Rimmel Stay Clear pressed powder (Transparent), MUA cream blush (scrummy), Sleek eyebrow kit (Dark), MUA undressed palette (shades 1,2,4 and 9), Maybelline Master Precise liquid liner, Benefit They're Real mascara, Rimmel Kate matte lipstick (107).

Audrey Hepburn 50's/60's Inspired Look

Hey everyone! So I didn't really know what to post about this week, but then I remembered that I'd forgotten to do a 50's Audrey Hepburn inspired look.
I mainly looked at Audrey's makeup that she had in Breakfast at Tiffany's for inspiration for this look. I really like this makeup look because I think it's really wearable. Her skin and lips are left really natural and the main focus is on her eyes and eyebrows.
