OOTD & Hair Colouring in Falmouth

Hey everyone!
So yesterday I was in Falmouth again, but this time to get my hair coloured at Square Falmouth ( our favourite hair salon)! My mum also got her hair cut and coloured there and the results where wonderful as ever.
Over the past 6 or so months, I have just been dying my hair at home with a dark cherry red colour, but after about a month it seems to fade and I wanted a more solid colour that I knew would last a lot longer.
It took me a little while to figure out exactly what I wanted, but the colorist at the Square is super helpful and has lots of colour charts, so I soon settled on a dark violet red brown. I have to say, my hair looks and feels 100% better than before and I'm so pleased with the results! My mum was also pleased with both her colour and cut.
I would definitely recommend the Square if you happen to live near or around the Falmouth/Penryn area or anywhere in Cornwall to be honest.

What I'm Wearing: Black crop cami top (Urban Outfitters), Black crochet kimono (New Look), Gingham print shorts (Primark), Black lace-up boots (New Look) and Blue leather bag (from an independent shop).

What mum's wearing: Black 3/4 length top (H&M), Floral midi skirt, Sandals (New Look) and Brown satchel (Accessorize).

Thank you for reading and thank you to Square Falmouth for the wonderful job they did with our hair! X

How to be brave | Dark lips & OOTD

Hey guys!
So on reading the title of this post, you're probably thinking that this is some sort of deep and thoughtful post- let me stop you there-it's only about lipstick and... clothes! Sorry no surprise there haha!
However much I love the internet and it's power to create otherwise impossible opportunity's and to share your creativity or intelligence to the world, I have progressively gotten angry at all the awful things I scroll past on a day to day basis. One thing I've noticed is people slamming girls (and boys) for wearing 'too much makeup' and 'looking like a clown or a barbie' and this is something which really frustrates me. So, in the subtlest way possible, I am using this post to put two fingers up at those people, because I believe that your face is your face and your body is your body and no one other than yourself has the right to tell you how you should look, what you should wear or what you put on your face.

The two main products featured: Revlon Colorstay shadowlinks (Lilac Pearl) and Collection Gothic glam lipstick (2 scorned)

Other products used: Rimmel Exaggerate undercover shadow primer, Rimmel Scandeleyes waterproof kohl kajal, Sleek i-divine au au natural palette, GOSH long lasting eyeliner pen (008 carbon black), Clinique high impact mascara and Sleek eyebrow kit (Dark).

Clothes featured: Off the shoulder crop top in daisy print ( Divide H&M) and Black hareem pants (Newlook).

I hope you liked this look and that this post maybe gave you a bit more confidence that you CAN go out wearing 7" platforms or wear blue, black or whatever colour lipstick that you want, because it is YOUR SKIN, not anybody else's. Thank you for reading! X

Music, Bindis & Dry Shampoo| Chagstock Festival 2014

Hello Everyone! I hope you all had a good weekend, whether you've been going out with friends or stayed at home watching 10 hours worth of Breaking Bad on Netflix.
This weekend I escaped the sanctuary of my bedroom and the internet and went to Chagstock music festival in Devon with my sister and dad! We've been there 3 times before and have always loved the more chilled out vibe there and the fact that there's not too many people. The Waterboys and the Lightning Seeds were headlining, but one of my favourite bands were Forgery Lit who had only come last minute, but I thought were great! The Selector also played on the first night and they were great to dance to!
I especially loved all the Indian stalls with colorful dress, skirts and rows of bindis and incense sticks!
Of course I couldn't go to a festival without taking a LOT of photos, so here's just a few of my favourites and some of the outfits we wore! :)
Bee wears- Cameo rose jumpsuit and TK Maxx cardigan.
On the left I am wearing Newlook crochet kimono, Urban Outfitters cami top and H&M leggings. On the right I am wearing the same but with a gorgeous vintage jumper of my mum's that was from Benetton (from the early 90's) and Florence blue leather shoulder bag.

Thankyou for reading! Have you been/going to any festivals this summer? X

Bluer than velvet was the night

Hey Everyone!
I remember doing a post on car boot sales back in March or April and last Sunday I went to another one, but instead of trawling past all the bits and pieces, my mum, uncle and I braved the task of attempting to sell a lot of mine and my mum's clothes. We didn't have very high expectations to be honest and I was actually pleasantly surprised with the outcome, baring in mind it was our first time.
And although standing in the heat for 4 hours straight with people constantly trying to lower our prices isn't ideal, I actually had quite a nice time there. We made £30 and sold a fare amount of clothes.
Of course, I couldn't go to a car boot without looking  at a few things and I ended up purchasing the most BEAUTIFUL velvet dress, that I just had to share with you!

I have no idea where it is from, but it does have a bit of a vintage feel to it and I just think its so gorgeous! I think what drew me most to it, apart from the velvet, was the back. It just adds the perfect elegant and unique touch to the dress. I also love that although it can be worn as an evening dress for an event or celebration, it could also be paired with a cardigan, crossover bag and some boots or simple dolly shoes to create a really casual everyday look as well.

Thank you for reading and remember your local car boot sales are always worth checking out next time you're up early on a Sunday morning- however unlikely that is!
Have a great day and weekend ahead! X

OOTD | Playsuits, kimonos & a hint of sparkle

Hey Everyone!
So yesterday I was out in Falmouth and decided to shoot a few outfit photos for my blog and I was really pleased with how they turned out!
I'm wearing a new mint green playsuit from boohoo.com, black crochet kimono and blue floral scrunchie from Newlook and sparkle detail rucksack from dizzy (independent clothing shop in Falmouth).
I really love this playsuit, as it's super comfy, a lovely colour and has a low cut wrap around back, which means it could actually be worn either way around, if you had a top or bralet underneath. I think it's still available on the boohoo website for a really good price in a a choice of 3 different colours.
The kimono is also really lovely to wear and is made from a light-weight sheer fabric, so it's great for a cover-up in the summer and could be dressed up for an evening. The backpack I'm wearing here, I had literally bought about 15 minutes before from a really nice little clothes shop. I was immediately drawn to the sparkles, despite the fact I'm not usually one for shiny or sparkly things, but I think this bag has just the right amount of it and is a really good size-not too big, not too small!
